All in the Family

An Old Market trailblazer, Barry O’Halloran and his better half Judy purchased the pub in 1985. A true family affair, Barry’s parents, Papa Ray and Mary Ann were instrumental in the the pub’s foundation and it’s culture. The building goes back another century. The original bar for Hotel Howard in the 1880’s. A beacon then, as now for pioneers and free spirits. Barry O’s Tavern sits here as the oldest standing bar in the Old Market. Barry O, philosopher, conversationalist, the fine Irish publican can be found at the tavern most days.
